Current projects:
- Taxiway/Apron
Repairs – Concrete
taxiways and Apron will be repaired as needed. The joints on the concrete will be
resealed.
- Airfield Marking – Markings on concrete
surfaces will be re-marked.
- Electric – New electric service will
be ran to Building E and pole lights in the T-hangar area.
- Fence Project – completed.
- Underground Power Cable – completed.
- Ground
Communication Outlet – is now operational!!!
- Building B – New roll up door on the
North side.
- Crack Filling – 49,000 ft of cracks were
sealed in 2010.
- SRE Purchase – New truck with a 14’ blade
and a utility machine equipped with snow blower, broom, and bucket are
in service. The equipment
purchase was mostly funded by a federal grant.

- Air show 11 - Plans for Air Show 11 are
already underway – anyone interested in joining an airshow committee,
please contact the Airport Authority office.
- Airport of the
Year – The Coles County Memorial
Airport was named
Airport of the Year for the second time.
